It has been a crazy 2020 so far, and we are still rolling with the challenges! After transitioning to distance learning in the spring, we are SO HAPPY to be back in person! We are in a Hybrid model to start the year, so students come to school on alternating days, and have "at home" assignments on their off days. We also are running on a block schedule with only 4 class periods in the day. Classes that are usually a semester long are now a quarter, and my quarter classes are now only 4.5 weeks! YIKES!
The Covid-19 situation has made the art room especially challenging to navigate, as we have gotten rid of our tables in favor of desks so we can social distance, and there is a lot less movement as students cannot gather their own supplies, or even share supplies. I have made changes to our curriculum so that students are spending most of their "in person" days creating art and projects, while they are doing research and paper based assignments "at home". So far, so good!
Check out each class being taught this quarter in the tabs at the top of the screen to see what we have been up to so far this year! Updates will be added as we finish more projects, and as class changes happen at the end of each quarter.
